Mouthwash is a great tool to use if you’re interested in keeping bacteria away from your teeth. However, with so many kinds of mouthwash available, how do you choose one that best meets your needs? For instance, did you know that some mouthwashes can actually fight off bad breath, tooth decay, and even bad breath?
For instance, you may want to choose a mouthwash with alcohol in it. You see, because of this alcohol, these type of mouthwashes can kill bacteria more quickly. Similarly, these types of mouthwash can also help your breath and whiten your teeth. However, if you chose this type of mouthwash, you may feel a slight burning sensation in your mouth.
Of course, you could also use a mouthwash with fluoride in it. You may want to use this type of mouthwash if you’re interested in strengthening your teeth and preventing cavities. Naturally, you could also pick a mouthwash without fluoride, though these won’t fight cavities as effectively. Still, please don’t misunderstand—mouthwashes with fluoride can still carry plaque away from your teeth.
As you probably know, mouthwash itself won’t be enough. In other words, please remember that you’ll need to brush for two minutes at a time twice a day. Similarly, you should floss daily and should remember to visit our dentist at least once every six months for a routine cleaning and checkup.
